Outside my professional and academic endeavors - my personal interests are defined by exploring different cultures through travel, immersing myself in nature, and spending time with friends, family, and my Big Brothers Big Sisters 'Little' - Devin

Travel

I have traveled to over 20+ countries across 5 continents. Most recently I visited East Africa - Kenya & Tanzania - having the special opportunity to: 

  • Explore several safaris (Maasai Mara pictured above)

  • Tour a new Kenyan private city

  • Fish in Lake Victoria

  • Experience the various cuisines

  • And much more!

Hiking

My hiking experiences have included several advanced treks including:​

  • Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341ft - 7 days): highest peak in Africa

  • Mt. Kenya (16,355ft - 4 days): highest peak in Kenya

  • Waimea Canyon (Kauai Hawaiian Island): Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific

  • Elephant Hill (3,798 ft elevation across an 11-hour day trip)

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures through a volunteer-supported mentoring network. Acting as an adult mentor to Devin (pictured above) for 3+ years - meeting every other week for 3-5 hours - has been a truly rewarding experience and I am excited to continue our relationship in the years to come. 2022 Yale SOM Spotlight
